KISS – UIC Pavilion – Jan. 8, 1988 – Chicago, IL.
A classic band for all the ages. Kiss had taken off their trademark makeup by this time. This was the first time I was able to photograph them. I was in the 4th row for this night. They were glammed out for the show, wearing their beads and spandex. Guitarist Bruce Kulick was the guitarist in this line up with founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley commanding the stage and drummer Eric Carr slamming the skins on the drum riser. Maybe not their best tour, but very photogenic. I still wanted to catch the makeup tours but never did.
